We booked a twin room - it was spacious and laid out very well. The amenities were better than other leading hotel chains - we had an ironing board, and iron, a hairdryer, a suitcase stand, plenty of hangers and the air conditioning worked (contrary to most places that only seem to have it as decoration!!). The desk was facing the window, which is great for getting ready and doing make up. The room was really clean. The staff at the reception were fantastic, so helpful and friendly. We primarily chose this hotel because it is so close to the Area and it has a carpark (cannot face parking at the arena, it's a nightmare!), so were really pleased how good the hotel was.

Loved we could check in 30 mins early without penalty. After a long drive this was very welcome as was the 24hr tea/coffee machine in reception. Also when we checked in we were asked if we were going to a nearby concert (which we were). Reception then let us know the bar would be open until late if we wanted to come back for a drink. Again very welcome as we would have gone to another place for an after concert drink to wind down. Instead we came back to the hotel and joined others from the concert and had a good chat with people. All in all exactly what we needed and location was great.

Lovely big room, very comfy bed, everything you could possibly need provided including an iron and ironing board, lovely bathroom with bath and shower and toiletries. We had a high floor so had amazing views over the City rooftops. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the City Centre and Train Station and there is a locals very friendly pub next door to the hotel which does food, real ales and is reasonably priced. Breakfast at the hotel is served buffet style with plenty of choice of both hot and cold food. The area around the hotel is quiet so a good nights sleep was enjoyed.

The bed was extremely comfortable, very soft, which some people may mind too soft. The staff were very polite, and more than happy for me to store my bag with them for as long as I liked after checkout so that I could continue exploring the city for a few hours. The staff provided good recommendations for places to eat, and even provided a discount voucher for a nearby restaurant!

Hotel is well located, the city centre is a 5 - 10 minute walk away (and there's a pleasant pub - The Shakespeare - virtually next door to it). Room was comfortable and spacious, and breakfast choices ran from cereal, toast, fruit and cold meats and cheeses to a hot buffet. Also the draught pint of Camden Hells from the lobby bar went down well on a very hot day!
